BROADLAND BEAT BOZZIE'S BANDITS AT CHARITY GOLF DAY

Once again a full contingent of 20 teams competed at Weston Park Golf Club on Thursday 27 July for the honour of being the Champions of the day.

Over £1,000 was raised for Breast Cancer Resource Fund which is based at the University Hospital in Norwich

The winning team was BROADLAND ESB (Broadland Taverns and Fullers Brewery) Mike Lorenz, Ron Finch, John Gaskin and Ollie Jackson scoring 101 points. In second place was BOZZIE'S BANDITS (Alan Boswell Insurance Group) Alan
Boswell, Ian Payter, John Whithead and Graham Littlewood scoring 97 points and in third place was WOODLAND LEISURE PARK Gary Baker, Dave Goremam, Tom Sayer and Brian Webster who scored 94 points.

Nearest the pin prizes were won by John Gaskin and David Gould and the longest drive was won by Simon Locke.

Individual performances were rewarded with cut glass trophies and the winners were 0-18 hcp John Gaskin and 18+ hcp Tony Warvill.

This years charity is the Norwich Beast Cancer Resource Fund.

A big thank you to all who entered teams and also into the spirit of this excellent day with special thanks to our main sponsors, Adnams, Coca Cola, Fuller Smith & Turner, John Smiths and Waverley TBS.

Congratulations to John Payne of the Sole and Heel Rackheath who bid £600 for the England Team signed Rugby shirt which was generously donated by Carlsberg UK.

Many other items were given for the auction for which we also thank the donors.

Finally thank you to Weston Park for hosting this event and for their hospitality and quality of service. Also to Ron Evans who once again marshalled us all through a faultless day.
