Batemans adds three pubs to estate

Lincolnshire-based brewer Batemans has added three new pubs to its tenanted estate.

The company has bought two pubs in Norwich, the Champion and the Leopard, and one in Lincoln, the Victoria, all from private owners.

The acquisitions mean that Batemans now has three pubs in Norwich and three in Lincoln.

Marketing director Jaclyn Bateman said: "Our beers have always had a great following in Norfolk and we are delighted to have been able to purchase two more in Norwich."

She added that the acquisition of the Victoria was "quite a coup."
