Licensees told to help prevent drink driving
The government is considering placing greater responsibilities on licensees to prevent drink-driving.
In the Department for Transport's latest road safety review it says it will look at the ways of separating drinking from driving.
This will include investigating the role of the licensed trade, the responsibilities of publicans and the extension of incentive schemes for designated drivers.
Random breath tests of drivers are also being considered under this latest review.
