DISTRACTION BURGLARIES AT NORWICH PUBS

Police are encouraging publicans across the city to be aware of recent incidents where burglars have targeted pubs.

There have been three incidents over the last month, two offences where quantities of cash have been stolen and one failed attempt.

The incidents have all happened on Monday mornings and it is believed the offenders have been targeting the weekend takings.

Investigating officer Det Con Chris Brown said: "We would like to take this opportunity to warn publicans that these incidents have occurred and to be vigilant against any similar suspicious behaviour around your premises.
I would urge anyone who does see anything unusual to contact us as soon as possible."

Anyone with information about suspicious activity in any of these areas should contact DC Brown at Norwich CID on 0845 4564567 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
