CURRY FOR BREAKFAST?

JD Wetherspoon is now among the largest providers of curry, and breakfasts in the UK.

Chief Executive John Hutson said the nature of pubs was changing from places where people popped in for an evening pint to providers of food and drink all day. "Our curry clubs on Thursday nights sell more than 60,000 curries each time, making us one of the biggest curry houses in the UK.
We also sell 230,000 breakfasts a week and 450,000 cups of coffee."

Wetherspoon has taken to selling food and coffee to combat supermarket competition on beer sales and to encourage non- smokers into pubs.
